Ewald Moseler grew up with wine. As a boy living on the Mosel River in Germany, he was always somehow involved with the winemaking going on in his village. Zeltingen-Rachtig is right in the heart of the best vineyard area of the whole Mosel valley, so he grew up with some of the finest white wines this world can produce.

Each wine-growing area has its own special characteristics, and each is capable of producing exceptional wines. The trick is to separate the really dedicated and talented producers from the merely average — a trick not so easily performed because of the huge number of winemakers in Germany and Austria. You could spend a lifetime tracking down the wines that are the best. But you don’t have to, because he's already done it for you!

Ewald has sifted through hundreds and hundreds of German and Austrian wines to find the best in taste and value. He's spent a great deal of time researching and tasting the wines of numerous producers in the important wine regions of Germany and Austria. That, combined with his lifetime of experience with Mosel wines, has enabled him to assemble his personal selection of German wines, all of stunning quality, and many that are unequaled values in fine wine. These are the Ewald Moseler Selections.

Grüener Veltliner 2007 Loess
Brilliant and transparent scents — typical characteristics of a Grüener Veltliner from a loess soil; fine spices like white pepper, herbal flavours and tobacco leaves; crystal-clear structure and beautiful style, fleshy substance and full-bodied palate, open and accessible, enormous length and once again a leap in quality compared to prior vintages.
Gewurztraminer Kabinett 2008
From the Pfalz, this slightly dryer style of Gewurztraminer is delicate and very refreshing.  Fantastic with Asian or spicy cuisine.
Riesling Spätlese** Erdener Treppchen 2007
An outstanding Spaetlese, definitely one of our favorites. Deep-rooted vines produce wine with mineral aroma, citrus fruit, apricot and peach flavors.
